WRKDOCS · CAMERA PRODUCTIVITY
Count objects by showing one example
Open your camera or choose a photo. Tap the center and edge of one example object to draw a circle, then WRKDOCS finds similar shapes. Review the numbered count and save the marked image. No pixel-size entry.
1. Take a photo or use the live camera
Live camera offers a quick automatic estimate. For a more consistent result, capture one frame and mark an example object; the photo-based counter then searches for similar objects.
Point camera at visible objects
Your photo remains on your device. WRKDOCS analyzes image pixels locally in your browser and does not submit selected photos to WRKDOCS servers. Camera permission is requested only when you press Open camera.
Tap a numbered marker to remove it, or tap a missed object to add it. Use Undo to reverse a correction. Start over clears both the sample circle and all markers.
Select an image or open the camera to start.
2. Mark one example circle
Select one fully visible object on the photo. Tap center → tap outer edge, or drag a circle from its center outward. The selected appearance and size guide the matching automatically.
Open or capture a photo to start.
For trays with missing markers, lower strictness and press Count similar objects again. Lower values can also add false positives; manually inspect the result.
Increase when lighting changes across the tray. Decrease when background objects have similar shapes but different colors. Confirm every counted marker manually.
ESTIMATED PIECES
WRKDOCS will automatically count when your example circle is complete. Review the outlined items, correct any missed or extra marker directly on the image, then tap Save counted image.
Tips for a better count
- Keep all objects visible, separated and evenly lit.
- For shiny or transparent objects, use a contrasting background, even lighting and a straight-down view.
- Try changing matching strictness or color variation and run the count again.
- Always verify before inventory, manufacturing or quality decisions.
Limit: Similarity matching compares shapes and appearance at approximately the marked size; this is not general AI recognition or a calibrated measurement. Different sizes, transparent items, touching parts, glare, shadows or changing perspective may cause incorrect counts. Verify every critical result.
How to count items using your camera
Use a straight-down view and diffuse lighting. Mark an entire representative object, ideally near the center of the photo. For transparent items, try a dark matte background; avoid touching or overlapping pieces. Review each marker before trusting a quantity. This is a manual-review counting aid, not a certified inventory measurement.

Count repeated objects in a photo
- Use a clear picture with separated objects
- Apply the available selection or counting controls
- Verify and correct any missed or double-counted objects
Important: Overlaps, reflections and transparent objects can cause missed counts.
